The dimensions in AR section allows your customers to see a product in their space through augmented reality. This feature can help customers make purchasing decisions between different sizes.
The Dimensions in AR section uses Shopify's site.link technology. Site.link requires an iPhone or iPad with iOS 12+ or an Android device with ARCore 1.9+ support.
To use the dimensions in AR section:
Open the Editor.
Add the dimensions in AR section.
Select your product image.
Click Add content.
Enter the dimensions of the product.
To add additional product variants, click Add content and add the additional product(s).
Clicking the link will allow them to visualize your product in their space to make sure it fits. There is no app download needed. From the browser, subscribers can drag, drop, and rotate the 3D box into place. The 3D box is accurate within 1 to 2 cm of the designated size.
If a subscriber opens the link on a desktop browser, a QR code will be shown that can easily be scanned with their phone or tablet to open it on a supported mobile device.
