Add Seguno Email POS extensions in Shopify POS

Add Seguno Email Marketing POS extensions to view back in stock registrations and recent discounts in Shopify POS.

Add Seguno: Email Marketing POS extensions to Shopify POS to view customer back in stock registrations and recent discounts directly from a customer profile. Use these extensions to quickly apply relevant discounts and access customer interest data during in-person sales.

These extensions must be added to the Shopify POS sales channel before they appear in customer profiles.


Add extensions to Shopify POS

Follow these steps to add the Seguno: Email Marketing POS extensions:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.

  2. Select Sales Channels.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Select POS apps.

  5. Select Recent discount or Back in stock registrations

  6. Click Add

  7. Repeat steps six and seven for the other extension.

After completing these steps, both extensions will be available within Shopify POS customer profiles.

Note:

Merchants must manually opt in to each POS extension. The extensions will not appear in Shopify POS until they are added.


Find Seguno extensions in Shopify POS

After adding the extensions, follow these steps in the Shopify POS app:

  1. Open the Shopify POS app.

  2. Select Customers.

  3. Select a customer profile.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the customer profile.

  5. Select Back in stock registrations or Recent discounts.

The selected extension will display customer-specific information.

Note:

The data displayed in these extensions is unique to each customer profile.


General Notes

  • The Recent discounts extension displays discounts previously sent to the selected customer through Seguno: Email Marketing.

  • The Back in stock registrations extension displays products for which the customer requested notifications.

  • Extensions are visible only after they are added in the Shopify admin under POS apps.

  • Data is tied to the customer profile email address used in Seguno: Email Marketing.


FAQs

Why do the Seguno POS extensions not appear in Shopify POS?

  • The extensions must be added under Point of Sale > Settings > POS apps in the Shopify admin. If they are not added, they will not display in customer profiles.

Can staff apply a recent discount directly to the cart?

  • Yes. Staff can view recent discounts from the customer profile and apply eligible discounts to the active cart in Shopify POS.

Does each customer see the same information?

  • No. Each extension displays data specific to the selected customer profile, including their individual discount history and back in stock registrations.

Do these extensions require Seguno: Email Marketing?

  • Yes. The POS extensions rely on data from Seguno: Email Marketing. The app must be installed and connected to Shopify.
