How to use Powerful Contact Form data in Seguno Email Marketing

Save form responses to Shopify metafields with Powerful Contact Form, then segment subscribers and highlight their submissions in automations and newsletters sent by Seguno.

Powerful Contact Form Builder lets you map form fields, such as birthdays, product preferences, and custom attributes, directly to Shopify customer metafields for customer segmentation.

Seguno Email Marketing uses those metafields to add per-subscriber personalization to automations and newsletters. Use this integration to collect customer preference data and deliver more relevant, personalized emails.

Requirements

To use Powerful Contact Form data in Seguno Email Marketing, you need:

  • Powerful Contact Form Builder is installed and active on your Shopify store

  • A form configured to map at least one field to a Shopify customer metafield

  • Seguno Email Marketing is installed on your Shopify store

Note:

A Zapier integration is available for Powerful Contact Form Builder. See Powerful Contact Form Builder's Zapier documentation for details.

How form data is used in Seguno

Powerful Contact Form Builder allows you to link any form field to a Shopify customer metafield. When a customer submits the form, the data from that field is automatically saved to their customer record.

Common examples of form fields mapped to metafields:

  • Birthday (date field → date metafield)

  • Product preferences (e.g., skin type, pet breed, coffee roast → text metafield)

  • Membership status

  • Custom notes or attributes

Once a metafield is populated, it becomes available in Shopify for building segments.

Tip:

Place preference forms on your account page or post-signup flow so customers can fill them out early in their lifecycle, giving you more data for personalized campaigns.

Email use cases

The following are common ways merchants use Powerful Contact Form data with Seguno Email Marketing.

Birthday emails

Use a form to collect a customer's birthday and map it to a date metafield. Build a segment on Shopify's customer page that filters by birth month, then send a birthday discount email during that month using Seguno Email Marketing. This is a high-relevance touch point with strong open rates.

Preference-based campaigns

Ask customers about their product preferences via a form on the account page or after sign-up.

  • For example: skin type, pet breed, coffee roast preference, or dietary needs.

Map answers to metafields, then segment by preference to send campaigns featuring only the products most relevant to each subscriber.
