Seguno Email Marketing lets merchants disable open and click tracking for all email sends. Merchants use this when they want to limit the tracking data collected from subscribers, whether for general privacy preference or to meet a regional legal requirement for explicit opt-in before tracking.
Why turn off tracking
Some merchants prefer not to track subscriber opens and clicks for general privacy reasons. Separately, a law took effect in France on July 13, 2026, that requires explicit subscriber opt-in before a merchant can track open and click data.
If you'd like to learn more about this addition to French law, please check their resource here: CNIL Recommendations
What tracking data is affected
Clearing this setting stops the following for all sends while it remains off:
Open tracking. Seguno does not record opens or open rates for sent emails.
Click tracking. Seguno does not record clicks or click rates for sent emails.
Conversion tracking. Seguno uses click tracking to attribute conversions, so conversion data is not recorded either.
Clicked links reporting. The clicked links list for an email is not populated.
How to turn off tracking
Open Seguno Email Marketing from your Shopify admin.
Navigate to Settings.
Uncheck the box labeled Track email opens and link clicks.
Warning:
Disabling this setting will impact all future emails sent while it remains off. Data on opens, clicks, or conversions for emails sent during this period cannot be retrieved.
