Copying a newsletter or template to an automation allows merchants to reuse existing email content in an automated workflow. This transfers the layout and content into an automation email where the subject and preview text can be edited before saving.
Copy a newsletter to an automation
Follow these steps to copy an existing newsletter into an automation email.
Navigate to the Newsletter details page.
Click Actions.
Select Copy to automation.
Select the automation where the email should be added.
Edit the Subject and Preview text.
Click Select.
A confirmation banner appears at the top of the Newsletter details page when the copy is complete.
Note:
Copying a newsletter transfers the email layout and content to the automation email. Automation settings, such as delays or triggers, are not changed.
Copy a template to an automation
Follow these steps to copy a template directly into an automation email.
Navigate to the Templates page.
Click the More options icon.
Select Copy to automation.
Select the automation where the email should be added.
Edit the Subject and Preview text.
Click Select.
A confirmation banner appears at the top of the Templates page when the copy is complete.
Note:
Templates copied to an automation become an individual automation email and can be edited without affecting the original template.
