Create a newsletter in Seguno

Learn how to create, customize, schedule, and send a newsletter using Seguno Email Marketing.

Newsletters are one-time emails sent to a targeted group of subscribers using Seguno Email Marketing.

Use newsletters to announce promotions, share updates, or highlight products at a specific time. Newsletters can be created on their own or as part of a campaign.


Create a newsletter

Follow these steps to create a new newsletter in Seguno.

Steps to create a newsletter:

  1. Navigate to the Newsletters page in Seguno Email Marketing.

  2. Click Create newsletter.

  3. Select a template from the Template selection page.

  4. Click Create newsletter.

  • Seguno provides topic-based templates to speed up design.

  • Templates include pre-built sections that can be customized for the store.

  • Seguno automatically saves shared design settings and sections. This shared layout is called the shared theme.


Customize newsletter content

After creating the newsletter, customize its content in the editor.

Steps to customize newsletter

  1. On the Newsletter setup page, enter the newsletter name and details.

    1. Optional: To assign a discount, copy the discount name from Shopify Discounts and paste it into the discount field.

  2. Click Create newsletter.

  3. Use the editor to customize text, images, buttons, and sections.

  4. Click Save.

Use consistent branding and limit the number of calls to action to improve click-through rates.


Send a newsletter

Newsletters are sent from the Newsletter details page.

Steps to send a newsletter

  1. Navigate to the Newsletters page.

  2. Select the newsletter title from the list.

  3. In the Schedule section, choose one of the following:

    • Click Send now to send immediately.

    • Click Edit to schedule a future send.

Edit newsletter recipients

By default, newsletters are sent to all eligible subscribers.

Steps

  1. Open the newsletter from the Newsletters page.

  2. In the Recipients section, click Edit.

  3. Choose one of the following options:

  4. Optional: Select the option to include subscribers currently in an automation.

Notes:

  • Subscribers in more than one selected group receive only one email.

  • If a subscriber is in both a targeted and excluded segment, the newsletter is not sent to that subscriber.


Schedule a newsletter

Schedule newsletters to send at a specific date and time.

Steps to schedule a newsletter:

  1. Open the newsletter.

  2. In the Schedule card, click Edit.

  3. Adjust the date and time.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. Review the details and click Schedule delivery.

What is the difference between a newsletter and an automation?

  • A newsletter is a one-time send. An automation is a triggered workflow that sends emails based on subscriber behavior.

Can I send a newsletter to subscribers already in an automation?

  • Yes. You can choose to include subscribers who are currently in an automation when editing recipients.

Can I edit a newsletter after scheduling it?

  • Yes. You can edit content, recipients, and schedule details until the newsletter is sent.

Will a subscriber receive multiple copies if they are in more than one segment?

  • No. Each subscriber receives only one copy of a newsletter.
