Canva Connect links your Shopify store to your Canva account so product images and designs move between the two platforms.
Use it when you want to bring Shopify content into Canva designs, send Canva designs into Shopify, or both.
The connection works in two independent directions, and you only need to set up the direction that matches your workflow.
Note:
Canva Connect is the app name in Shopify admin.
The matching panel inside Canva's Design Studio is named Shopify Connect.
Both names refer to the same integration; each platform simply uses its own name for it

Part 1: Let Canva access your Shopify information
Use this when you want to search for and drag your Shopify product, collection, and file images directly into a Canva design.
Open the Canva Connect app in your Shopify admin.
Copy your unique authorization code.
Note: Your authorization code is unique to you. If more than one person manages your Shopify account, each person needs to generate and use their own code.
Click the Install Shopify Connect app link.
Sign in to your Canva account, if prompted.
Select Use an existing design or Create new design. Canva Design Studio opens with the Shopify Connect panel.
Click Connect your store.
Click Continue.
Enter your authorization code.
Click Connect.
Note:
Authorization codes are unique per user. If more than one person manages your Shopify account, each person needs their own code.
Part 2: Let Shopify access your Canva designs
Use this when you want to edit product imagery in Shopify using Canva's design tools.
Open the Canva Connect app in your Shopify admin.
Find the Connect your Canva account to access your designs inside Shopify section.
Click Authorize account.
Sign in to Canva.
Review the requested permissions.
Click Allow.

Confirm your connection
Part 1: In Canva Design Studio, select Apps, then My apps. Confirm Shopify Connect appears in the list.
Part 2: In the Shopify Canva Connect app, confirm the green Connected flag appears.
Note:
Multi-shop management isn't currently supported. If you manage more than one Shopify store, you can connect only one at a time.
Common errors

Authorization code not visible | Someone on your store has already connected | Contact support to retrieve it, or reinstall the app to generate a new one |
Connection fails to complete | Popup blockers or cross-site cookie restrictions | Disable popup blockers, allow cross-site cookies for Canva and Shopify, or try a private or incognito window |
Connect button unresponsive | Cached session data or app conflict | Access Canva through a web browser (not the desktop or mobile app) and perform a hard refresh |

Do I need to complete both parts?
No. Each part works independently. Set up only the one you need, or both for access in each direction.

Yes. Authorization codes are unique per user. If multiple people manage your Shopify account, each person needs to generate and enter their own code.
Can I connect more than one Shopify store?
Not currently. You can connect only one Shopify store at a time.
