Email creation and editing
Ask Sidekick to build or change emails in Seguno Email Marketing. You can:
Create a newsletter draft with a subject line, preview text, title, and an optional discount.
Edit a newsletter in Draft, Paused, or Scheduled status by adding, updating, moving, or deleting content sections.
Edit the style and theme, including colors, typography, buttons, header, footer, background, and layout, either across all newsletters or for a single newsletter. These changes can be made on a per-email basis or to your shared theme.
Set up the scheduling settings for the newsletter.
Supported section types include rich text, images, image with text, product lists, featured collections, discount callouts, buttons, countdowns, testimonials, galleries, and HTML blocks.
Note:
Sidekick cannot send emails. It can help create, edit, and schedule emails, but final confirmation is handled by the merchant.
Example prompts:
"Create a Seguno newsletter highlighting my top-selling products from the last 30 days."
"Draft a win-back email for subscribers who haven't purchased in 90 days."
"Build an email featuring products frequently purchased together."
Newsletter management
A newsletter is an email defined by its curated content. Ask Sidekick to:
Search your existing newsletters by name, date, status, or campaign.
Open a specific newsletter's full details, including targeting, engagement stats, and revenue attribution.
Compare a newsletter's performance against your store benchmarks.
Example prompts:
"Analyze my recent Seguno newsletters and identify the top-performing emails by revenue, click rate, and open rate."
"Compare the performance of my last 5 Seguno newsletters and tell me what made the best-performing newsletter successful."
"Based on my Seguno data, what newsletters should I send next?"
Automations
An automation is a triggered email workflow in Seguno Email Marketing, not a one-time send. Ask Sidekick to:
List your existing automations, such as welcome, abandoned checkout, post-purchase, lapsed purchaser, back-in-stock, and review request.
Check automation health, including whether each one is enabled and accepting new entrants.
Retrieve revenue attribution for a specific automation.
Example prompts:
"Review all of my Seguno automations and recommend improvements."
"Which customer lifecycle stage is least supported by my current Seguno automations?"
"Analyze the performance of my welcome series and suggest ways to improve conversion rates."
Analytics and reporting
Ask Sidekick to summarize how your email program is performing in Seguno Email Marketing. You can request:
Overall email performance, including delivery count, open rate, click rate, and revenue, over a date range you specify.
All-time revenue split between newsletters and automations.
Subscriber growth trends, including subscribes and unsubscribes, over a date range.
Your average open and click rates, to give context to an individual send.
Example prompts:
"Which types of my Seguno emails have the highest conversion rate?"
"What customer segments generate the most email-attributed revenue?"
"Based on my Seguno performance, what should my email marketing priorities be for next month?"
"Recommend a sending schedule based on historical engagement patterns in Seguno."
Customer-level data
Ask Sidekick about an individual subscriber's email activity in Seguno Email Marketing. You can:
Look up a customer's email engagement history, including opens, clicks, and conversions.
See which discount codes were sent to a specific customer by email.
Find which customers received a specific discount code.
Tip:
Customer-level lookups return data for contacts in your store. Confirm you have the customer's email address or the discount code before asking.
Note:
Sidekick will default to using Shopify Messaging filters when creating customer segments. Please indicate that you want to use Seguno Email data and filters when creating a customer segment with Sidekick.
Example prompts:
"Using Seguno subscriber data, identify my most engaged customer segments."
"Analyze my Seguno audience and identify inactive subscribers who should be targeted with a win-back campaign."
"What products are most commonly clicked and purchased through my emails?"
