Seguno Email Marketing lets you preview how a newsletter will look for different subscribers before you send it.
Use the Preview conditions control in the email editor to see all sections at once, preview as a specific customer, or preview against certain conditions.
Use this feature when an email includes sections that are conditionally displayed and you want to confirm each version renders correctly.
What is a conditional section
A conditional section is a section of an email that is set to display only for subscribers who meet specific criteria, such as segment membership or purchase history.
Seguno Email Marketing identifies sections with conditions applied using Show conditionally icon next to the section name in the sections list.
How to preview conditional sections
Use the Preview conditions drop-down at the top of the template editor to choose how the newsletter preview renders.
Navigate to the Templates page in Seguno Email Marketing.
Select a template that includes conditional sections.
Click Preview conditions.
Select one of the following preview options:
All sections to view every section regardless of its conditions.
For a customer to preview the newsletter as a specific subscriber would see it.
Certain conditions to preview the newsletter against specific condition values.
If you selected For a customer, enter a name or email in the Search by name or email field, then select the customer from the results.
If you selected Certain conditions, toggle Yes or No for each condition shown, such as Has purchased before or Member of segment.
Click Apply.
Tip:
Review all states before sending any email that includes a conditional section to confirm that each subscriber group receives appropriate content.
Notes:
Test emails and feedback requests always display the sections currently shown in the preview. They are not customized for the recipient, meaning a test or feedback email will not automatically reflect a specific subscriber's segment membership or purchase history.
To send a test or feedback request for a specific scenario, first select the desired preview conditions, then send the test or feedback request. Changing the preview settings before sending is the only way to alter what is included in the test.
Understanding the conditional sections banner
When a newsletter includes at least one conditional section, a banner appears above the preview:
"Certain sections are set to show conditionally. Review different scenarios using the preview settings above."
This banner is a reminder to check how the newsletter appears under different preview conditions before sending.
