How to skip newsletters while subscribers receive an automation in Seguno Email Marketing

Skip newsletters for subscribers currently receiving an automation in Seguno Email Marketing and learn how to override the setting when needed.

Updated this week

Seguno: Email Marketing allows merchants to temporarily skip newsletters for subscribers who are currently receiving an automation. Merchants use this setting when they want subscribers to focus on an automated series without receiving additional newsletters.

For example, merchants may want new subscribers to receive a full Welcome automation before receiving regular newsletters.

This guide explains how to enable the skip newsletters setting and how to override it for a specific newsletter.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Newsletters page in Seguno: Email Marketing.

  2. Open the newsletter you want to send.

  3. In the Recipients section, click Edit.

  5. Click Save.

Note:

The override setting applies only to the newsletter being sent. Future newsletters will still respect the automation skip setting unless manually overridden.

Example

A skincare store uses a three-email Welcome automation for new subscribers.

To ensure new subscribers receive the entire onboarding sequence, the merchant enables Skip newsletters temporarily in the automation Start card.

Later, the merchant sends a limited-time sale newsletter. Because the promotion is time-sensitive, the merchant edits the newsletter recipients and selects Include subscribers in automations so that subscribers currently in the Welcome automation also receive the sale announcement.
