In specific scenarios, subscribers would be best served by receiving your curated automated series and not receiving your newsletters during that time. If your automation needs this prioritization, edit the start card settings to temporarily skip newsletters while subscribers receive the automated series.
The feature to skip newsletters is available for Welcome, Abandoned Checkout, and Customer-tagged automations.
To skip newsletters while receiving automations:
Navigate to the Automations page.
Select the Automation.
In the Start card, click Edit.
Select Skip newsletters temporarily.
Click Save.
In the case of a critical newsletter, you may override this configuration when scheduling specific newsletters. When selecting your newsletter recipients before sending, set your newsletter recipients to include subscribers on these automations. This same setting will be carried into any remail of this newsletter.
To override the skip newsletters setting:
Navigate to the Newsletters page.
Open the newsletters.
In the Recipients section, click Edit.
Select Include subscribers in automations.
Click Save.
