Connect Instagram to Seguno to access Instagram images directly inside Seguno Email Marketing. After connecting, Instagram images can be inserted into any image section in the email editor.
Instagram account requirements
Instagram only supports connections from professional accounts.
The following account types are supported:
Creator account - How to switch guide
Business account - How to switch guide
Personal Instagram accounts are not supported.
If needed, convert the Instagram account to a professional account before connecting.
Connect Instagram to Seguno Email
Connecting Instagram allows Seguno to read profile and media information, so images can be imported into emails.
To connect Instagram:
Navigate to the Dashboard.
Click Connections.
Select Instagram.
Click Connect.
Log in to the store's Instagram account.
Click Allow to approve all requested permissions.
Both permissions are required. Removing media access will cause a connection error.
Notes
Access to a public Instagram account does not require a refresh.
Access to a private Instagram account must be refreshed every two months to import new images.
Videos are not supported through the Instagram connection at this time.
To use video content in email, convert the video to a GIF optimized for email and upload it to an image section.
Add Instagram posts to an email
Instagram images can be added to any image-based section inside the Seguno email editor.
Supported sections include:
Flipbook
Gallery
Image
Image with text
Image with text overlay
To add an Instagram post:
Open an email in the editor.
Add or select an image-based section.
Click Select image.
Select the Instagram tab.
Choose an image.
Add an image description text.
Add a destination link.
Click Save.
Images are sorted by most recent posts.
If a post contains multiple images, all images from that post appear grouped together.
Disconnecting Instagram
Disconnecting from Instagram does not remove images that have already been added to emails.
To remove access:
Navigate to Dashboard.
Click Connections.
Select Instagram.
Click Disconnect.
Instagram permissions can also be managed in the Instagram account under Apps and Websites settings.

Do I need a professional Instagram account to connect to Seguno?
Yes. Instagram requires a Creator or Business account for integration. Personal accounts are not supported.
Do I need to refresh my Instagram connection?
Public accounts do not require refreshing. Private accounts must be reconnected every two months to access new images.
Can I import Instagram videos into Seguno?
No. The Instagram connection supports images only. Convert videos to GIF format before uploading.
Will disconnecting Instagram remove images from existing emails?
No. Previously added images remain in emails after disconnecting.
