The shared theme in Seguno Email Marketing controls the header, footer, and design settings used across emails. Use the shared theme to keep newsletters, automation emails, and templates visually consistent.
If you want to make a one-time design change without affecting other emails, switch the theme to Not shared.
What is the shared theme?
The shared theme includes:
Header
Footer
Theme settings such as fonts, colors, and button styles
By default, all newsletters, automations, and starter templates use the shared theme. This ensures consistent branding and faster email creation.
Set up your shared theme
Your shared theme is automatically created the first time you customize a newsletter or template.
Create a new newsletter or open a template.
Customize the design.
Click the Theme settings tab.
Adjust fonts, colors, buttons, header, or footer.
All changes made in Theme settings are saved to your shared theme.
Note:
Once saved, future newsletters and automation emails will default to this shared theme.
Edit your shared theme
You can edit the shared theme from any email that is currently using it.
Open a newsletter, automation email, or template that uses the shared theme.
Click the Theme settings tab.
Update the desired sections (for example, brand colors or button styles).
Changes automatically update the shared theme and apply to all emails that use it.
Warning:
Editing theme settings in a shared theme updates all emails that rely on it. Review active automations before making major design changes.
Example:
If you change the primary button color to black, all future newsletters and automations using the shared theme will display black buttons.
Disable the shared theme (Not shared)
Switching to Not shared allows you to make design changes without affecting the shared theme.
Use this option when creating a seasonal or promotional email with unique styling.
Example
You want to add a New Year’s background image without permanently changing your brand design.
Steps to switch to Not shared:
Open the Editor.
Click the Actions dropdown.
Select Change theme.
Select Not shared.
Click Save.
The email will now use its own independent theme settings.
Tip:
Use Not shared for limited-time campaigns that require unique branding.
