The product purchased automation in Seguno Email Marketing sends an email to subscribers after their order is created or fulfilled. Use this automation to deliver post-purchase content tied to a specific product or collection, such as setup instructions, usage tips, or follow-up offers.
Create a Product purchased automation
Note:
This is a paid feature. Free users can start a free trial or upgrade to a paid plan to gain immediate access to the product purchased automations.
Navigate to the Automations page.
In the Product purchased section, click Create automation.
In the The order is section, select whether the automation triggers when the order is created or when the order is fulfilled.
In the The order contains section, select a specific product or collection.
In the Delay before sending section, set the send delay.
Note:
The delay timer starts from the event you selected in step 3 (order created or order fulfilled). The automation triggers whenever a subscriber purchases any product within the selected collection.
Tip:
Set the delay to match your expected delivery window. For example, if the email contains product setup instructions, time the send to arrive when the product is expected to be delivered.
Edit start and end criteria
Start card
You can edit the trigger event or the selected product or collection at any time. Click Edit in the Start card to make changes.
End card
By default, the automation ends for a subscriber when any line item in their order is returned, an exclusion tag is added, or all emails in the sequence have been sent. Click Edit in the End card to view additional options.
Tip:
If the goal of the post-purchase email is to encourage a related product purchase, select the option to End when a subscriber places an order in the End card.
FAQs
Does the customer have to be subscribed to receive the product purchased automation?
Yes. The customer must be a subscriber in Seguno Email Marketing to receive the email. Non-subscribers are excluded.
Will the automation continue if a product in the order is returned?
No. If any item in the order is returned, the subscriber is no longer eligible to continue in the automation.
Can free users access the product purchased automation?
This is a paid feature. Free users can upgrade to start a free trial and gain immediate access.
