Certain holidays and seasonal celebrations, such as Mother's Day and Father's Day, can be sensitive topics for some. Allowing subscribers to opt out of newsletters related to these occasions is a recommended best practice. The steps below outline the best way to accomplish this.
Create the Opt-out Form
For Seguno Email users
Add an Email Signup block to your website.
For Seguno Email and Popup users
Using Seguno Popups and Forms, create a form to embed on an existing or brand-new page on your website.

Go to your Online Store Sales Channel
Click Customize next to your Current theme
Click Add section on the left side of your screen
Select the Apps column then Email signup
Customize the Email signup section
Depending on your screen size, the customize area will appear on the left or right side.
Change the Customer Tags to your Opt-out tag
Click Save

Click on your form
Click Edit next to Tags
Enter the Opt-out tag
Ex: Opt-out-Mother's-Day
Send Opt-out email

Send a newsletter to your subscribers, linking them to the page on your Shopify website where you've placed the form, or Seguno email app block.
Create the Customer segment
Create the Customer segment
The proper tag will be applied to their profiles as people fill out the opt-out form. Now, it's time to create a customer segment to exclude them from newsletters related to those topics.
Go to the Customers page
Click Filter
Select customer_tag, then CONTAINS
Find the opt-out tag by scrolling or typing it in
Click Run query
Double-check the results of the query
Click Save and name the segment
